The Right to Lead is an inspiring little book about ordinary people who have earned the right to lead others. Some of the uncommon leaders you will read about and learn from are General Schwarzkopf, Nelson Mandela, Noah, Eric Liddell, Moses, and Harriet Tubman.
Maxwell notes that “The key to becoming an effective leader is not to focus on making other people follow, but on making yourself the kind of person they want to follow.” He successfully describes how this can be achieved within the seven sections of the book.
I think that the book is laid out in an easy to understand format. It can easily be read in an hour or so. I enjoyed reading the various quotes inserted throughout the book and found the book to be inspirational. I highly recommend The Right to Lead by John C. Maxwell.
